It’s Teen Read Month! The theme this year is LOL@Your Library! Give these funny manga a try!

MEGATOKYO! Relax we understand j00
These are collections of the very popular webcomic featuring Piro and Largo, two Americans currently stuck in Japan, having spent all their money on manga and gaming merchandise. While in Tokyo they need to deal with ninjas, androids, giant lizards, the undead, angels, demons, and fangirls. No rating, but probably safe for the 13+.

Yotsuba&! and Azumanga Daioh are both created by Kiyohiko Azuma.

Yotsuba&! centers around the daily life of Yotsuba Koiwai, a rather strange little five-year-old girl. She and her adoptive father move to new town and make friends with their new neighbors, the Ayases. Yotsuba is strangely ignorant of many everyday things such as doorbells and playgrounds. The humorous stories focus on her learning and misunderstanding the world around her. Rated ALL

Azumanga Daioh follows the lives of six high school girls: Chiyo, a child prodigy struggling to fit in with girls five years older than her; Tomo, an energetic girl with slacker tendencies; Yomi, a generally sensible girl who is often frustrated by her friend Tomo’s impulsiveness; Sakaki, a tall reticent girl, thought to be very cool, but secretly longs for all things cute; Ayumu, a daydreamer with a different view of the world; and Kagura, a very athletic and competitive transfer student. Rated T, 13+.

Both titles are a bit surreal in places, but funny.

Come in to the library to pick up your Teen Read Month packets! There are lots of prizes to choose from!
